A top mid-size Chicago-based law firm is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Associate to join its established trusts and estates practice.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience (4+ years) advising high-net-worth individuals, families, closely held businesses, and fiduciaries on sophisticated estate planning, tax planning, wealth transfer, trust administration, and related matters.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on sophisticated estate planning, wealth transfer, tax planning, and trust and estate matters.
- Draft and review wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, family wealth transfer documents, and related estate planning instruments.
- Counsel high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and fiduciaries on complex planning strategies.
- Assist with trust administration, estate administration, and fiduciary-related matters as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to serve closely held businesses, family offices, and multigenerational client relationships.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and provide practical, thoughtful, and sophisticated advice.
