Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a leading firm seeking a Foreclosure & Bankruptcy Associate to join their team on a remote basis. The firm represents creditors in foreclosure, bankruptcy, and related litigation matters, emphasizing quality, compliance, and risk management. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in creditor-side bankruptcy and foreclosure law within a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- 
Collaborate with attorneys and staff on bankruptcy and foreclosure procedures, filings, and judicial nuances 
- 
Provide loan-level recommendations and ensure compliance with Federal Bankruptcy Code, local rules, and case law 
- 
Review bankruptcy filings, proofs of claim, notices of mortgage payment changes, and fee/cost notices 
- 
Draft pleadings, motions, objections, memoranda, orders, and correspondence 
- 
Attend hearings, settlement conferences, and other court appearances 
- 
Maintain timely communication with clients regarding case status and developments 
- 
Respond to communications from clients, opposing counsel, court staff, trustees, and mediators 
- 
Escalate complex matters when necessary 
- 
Perform other duties as assigned 
Qualifications:
- 
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school 
- 
Bar admission in good standing (Missouri and Kansas preferred, but Missouri is a must) 
- 
1+ years of experience representing secured creditors or mortgage servicers preferred, but not required 
- 
Bankruptcy or default mortgage industry experience preferred, but not required 
- 
Excellent oral and written communication skills 
- 
Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills 
- 
Ability to manage priorities in a high-volume production environment 
- 
Self-starter with ability to work independently and collaboratively
