Legal Secretary
Location: Lakewood, CO
Compensation: up to $65000
A well-established law firm in Lakewood is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support multiple attorneys. This is a traditional secretary role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with attorneys who rely heavily on administrative support. The ideal candidate will be professional, mature, and adaptable in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive administrative support including calendaring, word processing, filing, copying, and handling correspondence

Draft, proofread, and edit pleadings, memos, and other legal documents

File legal documents with courts and other entities

Answer and screen client calls, relay accurate messages, and schedule appointments

Maintain attorney calendars and deadline reminder systems

Greet clients and visitors while maintaining positive relationships

Edit and process monthly client invoices

Perform minor research and internet/database searches
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional legal training preferred

3+ years of law firm experience preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Familiarity with TABS, PracticeMaster, NetDocuments, or similar systems is a plus

Excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail

Professional communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment & Schedule

Must work on-site for the first full year
