Beacon Hill Legal is hiring a Litigation Paralegal for a great, growing plaintiff firm! This role supports a busy plaintiff-side litigation practice handling a diverse mix of personal injury matters, with the opportunity to work on mass tort cases as well. The attorney you’ll support is highly active in litigation and regularly takes cases to trial. This position is ideal for a paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys substantive responsibility, and wants to be deeply involved in trial preparation-not just observing, but contributing meaningfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage litigation files from intake through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, and trial.
- Draft, review, and organize pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, expert meetings, and court deadlines.
- Prepare trial binders, witness files, exhibit lists, and demonstratives.
- Provide hands-on trial support for multiple trials per year, including at least one trial scheduled for April/May.
- Assist with case investigation, medical record collection, and damages documentation.
- Maintain accurate and timely case information in SmartAdvocate.
- Communicate professionally with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Perform general administrative and litigation support tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of plaintiff-side litigation experience required; personal injury strongly preferred.
- Mass tort experience is a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated experience supporting multiple trials with substantive, hands-on involvement.
- Strong command of litigation procedure, deadlines, and trial preparation.
- Proficiency with SmartAdvocate or similar case management software.
- Solid skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe.
- Excellent organization, communication, and time‑management abilities.
- Ability to work fully in-office and manage a dynamic caseload.
