Litigation Legal Assistant
Overview
A well-established law firm in Minneapolis seeks a Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys and legal professionals in a litigation practice area. Offering a hybrid schedule, 35 hour work week, competitive benefits and salary! This role requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to problem solve independently and in a team environment.
Skills required and Job Duties include the following:
Job Duties:
- Prepares and files legal documents such as letters, pleadings, discovery, correspondence and more.
- Handle client intake and process incoming mail/files/letters.
- Prepare for trial and electronically file in state and federal courts.
- Manages attorneys calendars, deadlines, and meetings.
- Coordinate travel and appointments.
- Communicates professionally with attorneys, clients, and staff.
- Provide support to attorneys in civil litigation.
- Additional duties include other administrative and support tasks, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in legal administrative roles, civil litigation preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Knowledge in computer and software programs including, Microsoft Office Suite, iManage, and Adobe.
- High school diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
