Employment Law Associate
A growing boutique employment law firm in Needham is seeking an associate with 2-5 years of civil litigation experience. The firm handles a mix of plaintiff and defense-side employment matters and offers a collegial, lifestyle-oriented culture with direct client contact from day one.
Employment law experience is preferred but not required – candidates with a civil litigation or insurance defense background are strongly encouraged to apply.
What you’ll do
- Draft pleadings, motions, letters, and other litigation filings
- Appear at hearings, mediations, and administrative proceedings
- Conduct legal and factual research
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and experts
- Participate in case strategy with partners and team members
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years of civil litigation experience; employment law exposure a plus
- Massachusetts bar admission or eligibility
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Enthusiasm for employment law and a collaborative work style
Compensation & benefits
- $80,000-$125,000 depending on experience
- No set billable hour requirement
