A highly respected boutique law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its growing transactional practice. This is a strong opportunity for a mid-level to senior attorney looking for meaningful deal work, a collaborative environment, and sustainable hours without sacrificing complex matters or client impact.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage commercial real estate transactions from start to finish.

Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, and related transaction documents.

Conduct due diligence, including title and survey review, zoning, and environmental analysis.

Collaborate with clients, lenders, and counterparties to ensure smooth closings.

Preferred: experience or interest in community development, affordable housing, or public-private real estate projects.
Ideal Candidate

J.D. with 5+ years of real estate transactional experience.

Strong background in commercial real estate, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing.

Confident managing deals independently while working within a collegial team.

Prior exposure to community development or affordable housing is a plus, but not required.

Licensed to practice law in Illinois or eligible for reciprocity.
