Construction Attorney

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced construction attorney to join its practice in any of it’s Michigan offices – with preference for Eastern Michigan. This role will focus on sophisticated construction disputes, litigation, and contract matters for a diverse client base.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex construction disputes, litigation, and arbitration matters
• Draft and negotiate construction and commercial agreements
• Handle motions, depositions, hearings, and other aspects of litigation
• Advise clients on contractual risk, claims, and dispute avoidance
• Manage key client relationships and collaborate with other attorneys
• Support the continued growth of the firm’s construction practice

Qualifications

• J.D. and significant experience practicing construction law
• Strong construction litigation and contract experience
• Experience independently managing sophisticated matters
• Excellent writing, advocacy, judgment, and client-service skills
• Trial or arbitration experience preferred
• Business development experience and an established client base are a plus

Compensation will depend on experience level and size of/any portable business, but is roughly expected to land between $250k-500k
