Beacon Hill is seeking a part-time Litigation Paralegal to support a fully remote legal team handling intellectual property and litigation matters. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity ideal for an experienced paralegal with a strong background in federal and state court filings, USPTO work, and litigation docket management.
The firm is currently managing a busy litigation caseload and requires a detail-oriented professional to assist with court filings, deadline tracking, and legal database work. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and comfortable managing critical deadlines across various platforms with minimal supervision.
Key responsibilities and qualifications:
- Manage and maintain litigation docket for federal and state court matters
- File documents electronically (e-filing) in both federal and state courts
- Monitor, track, and manage deadlines for litigation and USPTO filings
- Conduct research and retrieve records using USPTO, WIPO, and Westlaw
- Support attorneys with document preparation, docketing, and calendar management
- Use Compulaw or similar docketing software to ensure compliance with deadlines
- Prior experience working with the USPTO and familiarity with intellectual property filings (minimum 2 years required)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a remote environment
