Beacon Hill is hiring a Research Administration Contracts Specialist to support a growing research operations team. This is a full-time, long-term temporary position offering the opportunity to work closely with research administrators, legal partners, and external sponsors. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing, redlining, and negotiating research-related contracts, as well as coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant contract execution. This role is well-suited for candidates with strong contract review skills, excellent attention to detail, and familiarity with research administration processes.
Responsibilities:

Perform initial review of paperwork, contracts, and agreements with Industry and Foundation sponsors in coordination with Research Administrators.

Redline contracts based on approved language guidelines and organizational standards.

Track contract negotiations in the appropriate systems and maintain updated records.

Implement requested contract language changes and submit revisions to sponsors for review and approval.

Maintain ongoing communication with sponsors and assigned departments regarding negotiation status and next steps.

Apply approved contract provisions and effectively leverage organizational language positions during contract review.

Manage the receipt, routing, and execution of finalized contracts.

Review, revise, and negotiate contract terms and advise Pre-Award Grants teams as needed.

Collaborate with legal teams and internal departments on contract language and compliance matters.

Review contract terms with the Contracts Team Lead, Assistant Director, or Director as required.

Process Master/Boilerplate agreements, study orders, amendments, and modifications.

Review IRB or IACUC approvals, associated budgets, and required forms to prepare submissions for Post Award account establishment.

Guide departmental teams through research administration processes and contract procedures.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, paralegal studies, or related field required.

Paralegal certification preferred.

Experience working in a research administration office or industry equivalent strongly preferred.

Proficiency with MS Office Suite, PeopleSoft, Adobe Pro, Adobe Sign, iContracts, Cayuse, and Oracle systems.

Familiarity with clinical trials, research budgeting, and grants management is a plus.

Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
