Beacon Hill Legal is hiring a Part-Time Paralegal for a temporary opportunity with a leading biomedical research organization in Philadelphia. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal seeking in-house legal experience in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.
Position: Part-Time Paralegal (Temporary) Location: Philadelphia, PA (100% In-Person) Schedule: 4 Hours Per Day, 5 Days Per Week Employment Type: Temporary
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and assist with a variety of agreements, including confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements, service agreements, amendments, material transfer agreements, and purchasing terms and conditions.
- Support contract administration processes, including intake, review coordination, tracking, execution, and filing of agreements.
- Serve as a point of contact for legal and contract-related inquiries and manage matter intake processes.
- Assist with corporate governance matters, including drafting resolutions and supporting board-related activities.
- Support compliance initiatives, policy development, and institutional training programs.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to monitor compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Track legal, regulatory, and legislative developments impacting research and life sciences organizations.
- Maintain legal templates, files, and records management systems.
- Assist with outside counsel management, invoice tracking, and legal department administration.
- Conduct legal research and help prepare legal documents and reports.
- Monitor deadlines, deliverables, and follow-up items across various legal matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Advanced Microsoft Word skills, including redlining, document comparison, formatting, and document management.
- Experience drafting and reviewing contracts in a legal, compliance, or corporate environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate preferred.
- Prior experience working in an in-house legal department strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting compliance, governance, or contract management functions.
- Experience with contract lifecycle management systems or similar software.
- Experience within life sciences, healthcare, higher education, or research organizations is a plus.
