Legal Assistant – Labor & Employment
Location: Harrisburg, PA
Schedule: Onsite (5 days per week)

Duration: Temporary-to-Hire

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a temporary-to-hire Legal Assistant to join its Labor & Employment practice group in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This position is ideal for a legal support professional with at least two years of legal assistant experience, preferably within a Labor & Employment or litigation-focused practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and legal support to a team consisting of one Shareholder and two Associates.
  • Draft, edit, proofread, and format legal correspondence, pleadings, and other case-related documents.
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel and logistics as needed.
  • Assist with court filings and litigation support activities.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical case files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate document management and case-related deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with three Practice Assistants to support the broader practice group.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of legal assistant experience required.
  • Prior experience in Labor & Employment law or litigation strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of working effectively in a team environment.
