A respected leader in the insurance industry is seeking an experienced insurance transactional or regulatory attorney to join the General Counsel’s office in Chicago. This is a growing team with a great reputation for long term fit, competitive compensation, and collegial environment.
About the Role:
As a key legal advisor, you will provide strategic counsel on complex insurance matters, including:
- Reinsurance agreements – treaty and facultative contracts, XOL and QS reinsurance structures
- Regulatory compliance – advising on collateral, captives, and industry-specific regulations
- Contract negotiation & drafting – structuring and negotiating agreements critical to our business
What you bring to the table:
- 6+ years of experience in insurance law, either at a top law firm or insurance company (or a combination of both)
- Deep knowledge of insurance transactional and regulatory matters
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills with the ability to manage complex contracts
