Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Litigation Attorneys for a hybrid role located in Norwell, Massachusetts.

Litigation Attorney
They need an attorney with 5+ years of litigation experience, 2+ years of this should include commercial litigation (for example contracts and business disputes; construction and/or environmental litigation a plus).
The Litigation Attorney is responsible for providing legal advice and counsel on business activities conducted by the company to management, sales, and operations personnel.
Candidates with some in-house litigation experience (as opposed to solely law firm), highly desirable. This is to cover a maternity leave. Can be licensed in any state. The team also consists of a junior attorney, paralegal, and a few part-time law clerks. Candidates should be personable and work well in a team environment; should also be able to work with a variety of backgrounds in the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Reviews, analyzes, and manages the Company’s commercial disputes, before, during and after litigation;
- Manages external counsel and assists external counsel in gathering needed information;
- Reviews claims and documents received by Company and work with Company personnel and/or outside counsel to respond to and defend against the same;
- Reviews subpoenas, document requests and audit requests by regulatory authorities or other third parties and compiles responses to the same;
- Conducts legal investigations with respect to pending claims and other matters;
- Conducts research and prepares legal briefs and memoranda on legal issues;
- Anticipates and guards against legal risks involving the Company;
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the client.
QUALIFICATIONS
- JD and admitted to a state bar (MA bar preferred)
- 5+ years litigation experience
- Must have strong verbal and writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and/or ongoing direction
- Willingness to perform infrequent travel as and when required
- Able to perform multiple tasks, work on short lead times and meet tight deadlines
Duration: September, 2025 – June, 2026
Schedule: 40 hours/week; 2-3 days/week in office, other days remote.
Rate: $65-$85/hour based on experience
