Beacon Hill’s client, a financial communications and investor relations company founded as a Minority- and Women-Owned business, is seeking a Corporate Paralegal or Contracts Administrator to support their San Francisco office with high-volume contracts work. The company is extremely stable and is busier than ever. They handle matters such as M&A transactions and bankruptcies. This role offers significant exposure to the C-suite, with direct interaction with senior executives and Partners. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and polished interpersonal abilities are essential.
- Location: San Francisco, CA 94111 – Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: open-ended, with potential for conversion to a direct hire, 40-hour/week role
- Hours: Part-time, Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM Pacific (6 hours/day, 30 hours/ week), with flexibility for additional hours as needed
- To support a heavier workload later in the day, requires availability until 6:00 PM Pacific to align with NYC team hours through 9:00 PM Eastern
- Pay:
- Corporate Paralegal: $70-$75/hour, depending on experience
- Contracts Administrator: $30-$40/hour, depending on experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and key competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
- 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, ideally in the securities litigation department of a large firm
- Experience in a law firm or in-house legal department within a financial services, fintech, or professional services environment is strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication, attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work on projects requiring a high level of discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while effectively managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong project management and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience with NetSuite and Microsoft Office
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed
- A willingness to take on new tasks and develop new skills
Primary responsibilities include:
- Responsible for drafting and generating a range of legal documents, such as standard engagement letters, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), as well as Statements of Work (SOW) and Scopes of Work (SOW) when required
- Work closely with internal and outside legal counsel on various legal matters, including contract changes, debt collection, bankruptcy issues, and responses to subpoenas
- Follow up on in-flight contract drafts as needed with leads/prospective clients to bring closure and expedite contract execution to the extent possible
- Maintain a tracker of contracts drafted, contracts executed, terminations, etc., to distribute to the partners on a regular cadence for transparency purposes
- Support the COO and CFO in preparing and responding to requests for information from regulatory bodies such as FINRA
- Serve as the central custodian for incoming information, ensuring its proper entry into firm’s CRM and facilitating its distribution to relevant parties as needed
- Serve as key contact for client and CRM related incoming inquiries
- Provide a variety of project management, administrative, and operational support for the Legal & Finance teams’ daily operations
