Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for a temporary opportunity with a respected Seattle law firm. The firm has a sophisticated practice spanning commercial real estate, business, construction, and civil litigation matters. The firm also has a small trial scheduled for early August that may settle beforehand. If the matter proceeds, the paralegal may assist with a brief trial period and will need to work onsite full-time during that time.
This is a substantive, hands-on opportunity for a paralegal with strong Washington litigation experience who can step into an established practice and contribute quickly.
Position Details
- Location: Downtown Seattle, WA 98104
- Work arrangement: Onsite initially, with the potential to transition to two remote days per week after a successful first month
- Full-time onsite presence will be required during any active trial period
- Start date: Early August
- Duration: Through the end of the year
- Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
- Pay: $35 to $45 per hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys with commercial real estate and general litigation matters
- Prepare and draft motions, notices, subpoenas, letters, and other pleadings
- E-file in King, Pierce, and Snohomish County Superior Courts
- Handle federal court filings using PACER
- Calendar deadlines, hearings, and other key dates
- Coordinate process service requests
- Obtain court records
- Maintain electronic and paper case files
- Assist with e-discovery and preparation of privilege logs
- Handle public records requests
- Provide additional litigation and case management support as needed
Ideal Experience
- Prior litigation paralegal experience
- Familiarity with King, Pierce, and Snohomish County local court rules
- Strong Washington state and federal court e-filing experience
- Experience calendaring litigation deadlines and hearings
- Strong drafting, organizational, and case management skills
- E-discovery experience; DISCO experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and step into an established practice with minimal ramp-up
