Beacon Hill’s client, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking an experienced business immigration paralegal who can hit the ground running. The primary focus will be on assisting with the processing and management of H-1B visas.
- Location: On-site, Los Angeles, CA 90067
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 3-6 months
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
- Pay: $35-$45/hour, depending on experience
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) is preferred.
- Associate’s degree or paralegal certificate required.
- 2+ years of professional work experience in family and/or business immigration (law firm, preferred).
- Ability to work well with clients and experts required.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational and written communication skills.
- Experience with INSZoom is a plus.
- Ability to multitask using analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment with competing demands.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with, prepare, and file family and employment-based applications (H, L, E, O, P, TN, EB-1s, NIWs, and EB-2 + EB-3 PERM labor certifications, etc.) under attorney supervision;
- Assist with the coordination and preparation of complex cases such as O-1 and EB-1 petitions, motions to reconsider;
- Research and assist with the preparation of Responses to Requests for Evidence, Responses to Intent to Deny Notices, etc.;
- Data Entry, including detailed tracking into case management system and deadline monitoring;
- Collect case information and documents for assigned cases;
- Knowledge of procedural and processing requirements for various types of non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications;
- Experience with any of the following is a plus: Schedule A, student issues, visitor visa issues, and naturalization.
