Beacon Hill is partnering with a confidential, well-regarded litigation firm in San Francisco to hire a Front Desk / Legal Assistant. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for someone who is reliable, professional, detail-oriented, and looking for a long-term fit.
The firm is willing to train the right person, so heavy legal experience is not required. This could be a great fit for someone with strong administrative experience and some legal exposure, including legal internship experience, law office support, legal admin, reception, office assistant, or similar experience.
Location: San Francisco, CA 94111
Schedule: Hybrid, onsite 2 days per week
Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Start: ASAP
Pay: $28 to $29/hour, depending on experience
Type: Temp-to-hire, with the goal of finding a long-term fit
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Front Desk / Legal Assistant will provide day-to-day administrative, office, and legal support to attorneys and staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing front desk and reception coverage
- Assisting with conference room setup, catering setup/cleanup, and general office upkeep
- Supporting attorneys and staff with administrative and legal tasks
- Formatting, proofreading, and revising documents in Microsoft Word
- Assisting with scheduling, coordination, and occasional travel planning
- Providing cross-department support as needed
- Jumping in wherever needed in an all-hands-on-deck environment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong administrative experience
- Some legal exposure preferred, but not required
- Prior law firm, legal internship, legal admin, reception, or office assistant experience is a plus
- Strong Microsoft Word skills
- Experience with Tables of Authorities (TOAs), Tables of Contents (TOCs), and legal document formatting is a plus
- Reliable, responsive, detail-oriented, and professional
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and supporting the office wherever needed
- Comfortable working onsite in San Francisco 2 days per week
