Beacon Hill’s client, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking defense litigation paralegals to support their team.
- Location: Hybrid – Downtown Los Angeles, CA 90071 (3 days onsite, 2 days remote; Monday is required onsite, with the remaining onsite days flexible)
- Parking: Not provided
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 6 months, with potential to extend
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday
- Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch)
- Conflicts: Any plaintiff-side experience
- Pay: $40/hour
- Interview Process: Selected candidates will complete a virtual interview with the 3 supervising attorneys
Qualifications:
- Defense litigation paralegal experience required
- Experience with California state court filing procedures and deadline management
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple filing deadlines accurately
- Experience with e-filing platforms, including LexisNexis, File & Serve, or similar
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven litigation environment
About the Role:
- Work with a team of 3 attorneys
- Manage day-to-day tracking of California docket filings, ensuring that any filings requiring escalation to an attorney are promptly escalated
- Case tracking and reporting
- Prepare pleadings and manage filings through LexisNexis File & Serve
