What You’ll Do
Enterprise Architecture & Solution Design
- Lead architecture discussions and discovery workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
- Design scalable GIS and enterprise technology ecosystems that support long-term business objectives.
- Develop architecture blueprints, deployment strategies, and technology roadmaps.
- Evaluate current environments and recommend improvements focused on performance, reliability, and security.
Technical Leadership & Advisory Services
- Serve as a trusted advisor on infrastructure, cloud, networking, security, and GIS platform strategies.
- Guide implementation teams through architecture decisions and technical challenges.
- Provide expertise on availability, disaster recovery, resilience planning, and operational readiness.
- Identify risks, bottlenecks, and single points of failure and propose practical solutions.
Platform Modernization & Infrastructure
- Support the planning and deployment of enterprise applications across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Advise on virtualization, containerization, automation, and modern application hosting approaches.
- Help organizations optimize system performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to technology standards, governance efforts, and architectural best practices.
Consulting & Business Growth
- Participate in client engagements, technical presentations, and solution workshops.
- Assist with proposal development, solution scoping, effort estimation, and technical documentation.
- Contribute thought leadership through presentations, knowledge sharing, and industry engagement.
What You Bring
- Typically brings several years of experience designing and supporting enterprise technology environments.
- Background working with GIS platforms and enterprise applications in large, complex organizations.
- Experience developing solution architectures that span infrastructure, applications, integrations, data platforms, and security.
- Working knowledge of modern cloud, hybrid, or data center technologies.
- Familiarity with enterprise networking concepts, identity management, high availability, disaster recovery, and security best practices.
- Experience collaborating with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive audiences.
- Strong documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable and sustainable technical solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with utility, energy, or infrastructure-focused organizations.
- Exposure to enterprise GIS technologies such as ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, or ArcGIS Online.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms, container ecosystems, and infrastructure automation tools.
- Knowledge of enterprise monitoring, observability, or performance optimization solutions.
- Experience supporting cloud transformation or modernization initiatives.
- Understanding of data integration platforms and event-driven architectures.
- Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks and governance models.
- Advanced degree in a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications in enterprise architecture, GIS, cloud platforms, virtualization, or infrastructure technologies.
