Protective Services Caseworker (Older Adults)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience in social services, counseling, or case management
• Prior experience in protective services, crisis intervention, casework, or elder services
• Strong ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound judgment
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and safe driving record

Job Duties

• Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, and self-neglect involving older adults (60+)
• Conduct urgent field visits and respond to crisis situations as needed
• Complete written assessments related to safety, risk, capacity, and functional ability
• Provide short-term case management following substantiated reports
• Coordinate referrals and services to reduce risk and improve client safety
• Collaborate with individuals served, family supports, internal staff, and community partners
• Maintain accurate documentation in alignment with program and regulatory standards
