Compensation: $39-$44 an hour
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support a fast-paced accounting team responsible for high-volume transaction processing, general ledger accounting, and month-end close activities. This role requires a strong technical accountant who can manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy in a deadline-driven environment, and identify discrepancies before they become larger issues.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and adjusting entries.
- Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling items.
- Review revenue, expense, and account activity for completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain supporting schedules and account analyses.
- Assist with audit requests and preparation of supporting documentation.
- Monitor financial data integrity across multiple systems and reporting platforms.
- Partner with operational teams to investigate and resolve accounting issues.
- Support continuous improvement of accounting processes and workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
- 4+ years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility.
- Strong experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
- Experience in a high-volume transaction environment.
- Strong account analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with revenue and expense accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and large data set analysis.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
