An Austin, TX-based nonprofit is hiring a Veteran’s Specialist for a full time role!
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field OR comparable veteran specific case management experience required.
- 1+ year professional direct services in social services with case management experience
- experience working with veterans/ veteran families or homeless populations preferred
- Valid TX-Driver’s License
Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage with veterans and families to assist them in obtaining and retaining permanent affordable housing.
- Maintaining timely and accurate financial assistance records, case notes and evaluation and reporting requirements.
- Provide eligibility screenings and case management services to veterans and their families
Details:
- Monday – Friday 8:30am-5:30pm schedule
- Mileage reimbursement offered
- Monthly paid parking for downtown office employees
