Qualifications
- Completion of a high school education or equivalent.
- Holds an active, unrestricted state pharmacy technician license.
- Must obtain national certification (CPhT) within one year of hire.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Prior experience in a home infusion or specialty pharmacy environment is highly desirable.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Adheres to all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Supports the preparation, packaging, and coordination of patient medication deliveries under pharmacist supervision.
- Manages shipment documentation and monitors delivery timelines to maintain uninterrupted patient care.
- Conducts follow-up communication with patients or caregivers to confirm delivery and satisfaction.
- Inputs accurate prescription and patient data into pharmacy software and record systems.
- Keeps required continuing education up to date per state guidelines.
- Participates in regular inventory counts and documentation for medications and supplies.
- Assists with collection and verification of billing and insurance documentation.
- Maintains compliance with company operational policies and quality standards.
- Performs additional duties or special projects as needed.
