Director of Nursing

Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license and legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience within the past 5 years (IDD, residential, behavioral health, long-term care, or community-based care strongly preferred).
- Experience delegating medication administration and training non-licensed staff in compliance with Illinois DHS regulations (Rule 116).
- Ability to travel to residential sites, participate in on-call rotations, and perform physical requirements including two-person lifts.
Job Duties
- Provide clinical oversight and nursing services for adults in Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILA), ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality care.
- Delegate and monitor medication administration and treatments, evaluating outcomes and staff performance.
- Train, supervise, and coach nursing staff and direct support personnel, including medication administration training and ongoing compliance education.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with all applicable DHS, state, and program-specific medical requirements.
- Oversee admissions, medical documentation, psychotropic medication monitoring, and required health assessments, including Tardive Dyskinesia screenings.
- Coordinate nursing care across multiple residential sites, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans.
- Maintain accountability for the integrity, efficiency, and professionalism of medical services across the program.
Additional Information
- Schedule: Full-time; typically 8:00am-4:00pm with flexibility required. Includes rotating weekend on-call responsibilities and travel to residential sites as needed. Hybrid work environment.
- Compensation: Salaried, exempt position with an expected annual pay range of $90,000-$110,000 (no flexibility). Benefits eligible.
