Program Director, Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Location: On Site – Manhattan, NY
Organization Type: Higher Education / Allied Health Training Institution

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Current ARDMS credential in Abdomen and/or OB-GYN (Vascular credential preferred).
  • Minimum four years of experience as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer, including at least two years in clinical diagnostic care.
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, instructional leadership, program administration, and educational assessment.

Job Duties

  • Lead the administration, planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for program growth, effectiveness, and compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, assess, and revise curriculum, program outcomes, and student learning outcomes in collaboration with faculty.
  • Oversee course offerings and support a technology-enhanced learning environment, including digital learning tools and student support resources.
  • Monitor and evaluate didactic, laboratory, and clinical components to ensure program quality and student success.
  • Support student recruitment efforts, participate in committee assignments, and foster relationships with prospective students and community partners.
  • Serve as a liaison with healthcare facilities to maintain and strengthen clinical education partnerships.

Additional Information

  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday 9:00a – 5:00p EST
  • Compensation: Up to $150,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and credentials.
  • Preferred Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and relationship-building abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
