Information Security Engineer / SecOps Engineer
Key Requirement:
Looking for a doer who can take ownership of security operations not someone primarily coordinating projects. The person should be comfortable getting into the environment, handling patching and remediation, responding to security issues, automating tasks, and keeping the required compliance documentation current.
Must Haves
- 5+ years of hands-on Security Engineering, SecOps, Product Security, or DevSecOps experience
- Strong server/infrastructure security experience, including server engineering, patching, hardening, and remediation
- Hands-on vulnerability management, security remediation, and incident response
- Experience maintaining security/compliance documentation in ServiceNow
- Strong Python and/or Bash scripting for security automation, scanning, deployments, and remediation
- Experience monitoring and investigating security threats using SIEM/security monitoring tools
- Hands-on experience with security technologies such as endpoint protection, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, and vulnerability management tools
- Experience securing and supporting Windows and/or Linux production environments
- Working knowledge of security/compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, or similar
- Ability to independently identify security issues, create a remediation plan, execute the work, and document completion
- Strong operational mindset – this is a hands-on technical role, not a project management position
Strongly Preferred
- CI/CD security experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience securing embedded systems, IoT, firmware, robotics, or cyber-physical systems
- Experience with ARM-based platforms and/or NVIDIA Jetson
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or similar
- Experience in defense, hardware, robotics, or other highly regulated production environments
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
