Metadata Systems Architect
Overview
Seeking a Metadata Systems Architect with 5+ years of experience in Digital Asset Management (DAM/MAM) environments to lead the transition and modernization of marketing and creative asset management systems. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, designing scalable workflows, and consolidating legacy systems into future-ready platforms.
Must Haves
- Proven experience transitioning creative or marketing teams to new DAM/MAM systems.
- Hands-on experience setting up, structuring, and migrating systems across DAM/MAM environments (Adobe AEM, Box, Lucidlink, or similar).
- Strong background in metadata schema, taxonomy design, asset lifecycle workflows, and governance.
- Demonstrated ability to recommend and implement process improvements for marketing and design asset operations.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the redesign and consolidation of existing DAM/MAM platforms, creating scalable structures for creative and marketing assets.
- Develop and enforce metadata frameworks, taxonomy standards, file naming conventions, and content hierarchies.
- Implement universal asset identifiers to manage usage, rights, and version control.
- Collaborate with marketing, creative, media, and technology teams to ensure system alignment and operational efficiency.
- Conduct audits, plan migrations, and support user adoption and training during transitions.
- Identify and deploy automation or AI-driven solutions for tagging, versioning, and quality control.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automation tools, APIs, and integrations; familiarity with AI-powered asset management solutions.
- Knowledge of marketing compliance, rights management, and global content delivery workflows.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Airtable, and scripting.
- Background in media, entertainment, or global marketing operations.
