Technical Product Manager – Enterprise Modernization
Overview
Seeking a highly technical Product Manager to lead the modernization of eight enterprise applications. This role requires deep collaboration with engineering, strong architectural awareness, and the ability to drive product direction in a complex technical environment. Ideal for someone who understands how systems are built, scaled, secured, and evolved-not just how they are used.
Must-Haves
- 10+ years of product management experience leading technical or engineering-heavy products.
- Strong technical foundation in web architecture, databases, cloud concepts, APIs, and SDLC.
- Hands-on experience driving modernization, re-platforming, or large-scale technical product initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering, drive prioritization, remove blockers, and influence technical decisions.
- Exceptional communication skills to translate complex technical topics for diverse stakeholders.
- Self-starter mindset with strong ownership, urgency, and the ability to operate effectively with limited direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the modernization roadmap across multiple products.
- Lead end-to-end product lifecycle activities from discovery to delivery.
- Serve as the technical voice in product discussions, ensuring decisions align with architectural best practices and long-term scalability.
- Analyze data, system constraints, and user needs to support prioritization and trade-off decisions.
- Ensure delivery quality and adherence to engineering standards, security requirements, and compliance expectations.
- Partner with engineering, design, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with custom-built applications or modernization programs.
- Understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles.
- Familiarity with modern frameworks (Ruby on Rails, .NET, PHP) and cloud providers (AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Scrum, Waterfall, XP) and modern product development practices.
- Experience supporting products with high availability, security, or compliance needs.
