QA Analyst (Manual Testing Focus) – 95% manual and 5% automation
Overview:
Seeking a QA Analyst with strong experience in manual testing to ensure the quality and reliability of web-based applications and Windows services. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in test case design, execution, and defect tracking, with light exposure to automation. This role requires excellent collaboration, analytical thinking, and attention to detail in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in manual QA testing for web-based applications.
- Proven ability to design, execute, and document detailed test cases and test plans.
- Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar QA and defect tracking tools.
- Familiarity with Windows environments, system-level integration testing, and regression testing.
- Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Playwright, JMeter) – though the role is primarily manual.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and iterative release processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirements and design detailed manual test cases, plans, and execution strategies.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing across multiple releases.
- Execute tests, log defects, track issues, and validate fixes to ensure high-quality releases.
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to verify that product functionality meets requirements.
- Maintain clear documentation of test cases, defects, and results using tools like Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute to release readiness.
- Support light automation by maintaining or running existing Playwright or JMeter scripts as needed.
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Knowledge of software QA metrics, reporting, and process improvement practices.
