Software Engineer – Airtable Integrations & Backend Development
Note: This is a software engineering role focused on backend development and system integrations using Airtable as a development platform. It is NOT an Airtable administrator or configuration only position.
Overview
Seeking a Software Engineer with strong backend development skills and hands-on experience building scalable integrations using the Airtable platform. This role will focus on developing technical solutions that connect systems, automate workflows, and support complex business processes through APIs, webhooks, and cloud-based technologies.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Hands-on experience developing Airtable solutions, including bases, interfaces, automations, and scripting
- Strong programming experience with JavaScript, Python, or Node.js
- Experience building REST APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting complex applications and integrations
- Strong understanding of workflow automation and backend development principles
- Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing cloud or SaaS-based applications
- Experience with relational databases (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar)
- Experience building backend services using AWS Serverless technologies
- Experience with Angular, Spring Boot, or similar web application frameworks
- Experience working with Snowflake
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) and AI workflow frameworks such as MCP
- Experience working in media, entertainment, or large enterprise environments
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Airtable-based applications, automations, and integrations
- Develop scalable backend solutions that integrate Airtable with internal and third-party systems
- Build and maintain API and webhook integrations
- Support cloud-based applications and workflow automation initiatives
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and automation issues
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions
- Document system architecture, workflows, and technical processes
