Technical Program Manager – Ad Technology
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead large-scale, complex software development programs within an Ad Technology environment. This person will coordinate across engineering, product, project management, and business teams to drive planning, execution, dependencies, risks, and delivery.
Must-Haves
- 5+ years of Technical Program Management / Program Management experience
- Experience managing large-scale, strategic software development or technology programs
- Ad Tech / Advertising Technology experience
- Experience within media, streaming, digital advertising, or related technology environments
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly understand complex engineering domains
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ability to work closely with engineering teams
- Experience managing cross-functional and cross-team dependencies
- Strong program planning, scheduling, execution, and delivery experience
- Hands-on experience identifying and managing risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans
- Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, or Scaled Agile
- Strong experience communicating program status, risks, timelines, and deliverables to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
- Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a complex technology environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex, high-priority technology programs from planning through delivery
- Develop program plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and delivery schedules
- Coordinate across engineering, product, QA, project management, and other technology teams
- Track risks and issues and drive mitigation, contingency planning, and resolution
- Manage cross-team dependencies and ensure accountability for deliverables
- Provide clear program status and executive-level reporting
- Coordinate software build, QA/testing, and deployment activities
- Track budgets, capacity, resources, and key program metrics
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and team-of-teams coordination when needed
- Work with technical leads to understand architecture, systems, integrations, deployment practices, and technical dependencies
- Coordinate with external vendors when applicable
Nice-to-Haves
- PMP, SAFe, Scrum, or other relevant project/program management certification
