Senior Technical Project Manager – Production Technology
Ideal Background
Seeking a senior-level Technical Project Manager with experience supporting Production Technology organizations, including animation, studio operations, VFX, rendering infrastructure, server environments, or related media technology ecosystems. Candidates from companies such as Fox, Paramount, major studios, streaming organizations, or similar production-focused environments are highly desirable.
Must Haves
- 7+ years of Technical Project Management experience supporting enterprise technology initiatives
- Experience supporting Production Technology environments within media, entertainment, animation, VFX, studio operations, or similar industries
- Strong background managing both infrastructure and software technology projects
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Engineers, Technical Leads, and Business Stakeholders
- Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
- Experience managing budgets, timelines, resource planning, risks, and executive-level communications
- Ability to translate technical details into clear updates for business and leadership audiences
- Experience supporting senior leadership, including Director and VP-level stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting animation, rendering, VFX, or server farm environments
- Experience with server infrastructure, data center operations, or rendering technologies
- Background supporting studio technology, production pipelines, or digital content creation environments
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of multiple Production Technology initiatives from planning through execution
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and align project objectives
- Develop project plans, milestones, schedules, and resource plans to ensure successful delivery
- Coordinate efforts across product, engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams
- Manage budgets, timelines, staffing plans, risks, and dependencies
- Drive communication between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, standardize solutions, and leverage existing technologies
- Escalate and mitigate project risks while ensuring alignment across teams
- Provide regular status reporting, project updates, and executive-level communications
- Support strategic technology initiatives and roadmap planning across multiple teams
