Beacon Hill Legal’s client, an international law firm based in Midtown Manhattan, is seeking an experienced Attorney for an open ended contract role. The role is expected to begin the week of July 13th and is an open ended full-time (contract) opportunity. NY Bar admissions and ability to commute onsite to the firm in Manhattan are required. This role compensates at $35 per hour (plus OT) and will have heavy hours, including weekend work (as needed).
The ideal attorney will have:
- Experience as an associate at a large law firm.
- Transactional legal experience, particularly involving commercial contracts.
- Experience with database administration, document management, knowledge management, or legal operations.
- Demonstrated interest in or experience using AI and other legal technology tools.
- Prior e-discovery experience, including QC work, privilege log work, privilege review work, redaction work, and prior experience handling targeted searches and/or special projects.
Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements and other legal documents.
- Provide legal support on transactional matters and contract management initiatives.
- Assist with legal operations, knowledge management, and document organization projects.
- Support the implementation and utilization of emerging legal technologies, including AI-enabled tools.
- Conduct e-discovery work, including document review, privilege review, redaction review, quality control, and privilege log preparation.
- Execute targeted searches and assist with special projects as directed by firm leadership
Qualifications
- Active membership in the New York State Bar.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Ability to commute to the firm in Manhattan, as needed
- Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
- E-discovery experience and familiarity with Relativity.
