Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Bankruptcy Litigation Attorney for a primarily remote opportunity with a respected law firm client. The attorney will support an active bankruptcy and commercial litigation practice, with a primary focus on matters pending in New York bankruptcy courts. Responsibilities will include motion drafting, discovery management, court appearances, legal research, and other litigation-related tasks. The role is primarily remote, with occasional in-person appearances required for court hearings, depositions, and other contested matters.
Responsibilities
- Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other court filings in connection with bankruptcy and related commercial litigation matters
- Manage discovery, including document requests, responses, and discovery-related disputes
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex legal issues
- Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and oral arguments
- Assist with case strategy and litigation management through all stages of a matter
- Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed
Qualifications
- Active bar admission in good standing
- Experience handling bankruptcy matters, preferably in New York bankruptcy courts
- Experience with commercial litigation matters
- Strong motion drafting and legal writing skills
- Prior courtroom experience, including hearings and oral arguments
- Experience managing discovery and contested litigation matters
- Excellent analytical, research, and advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
