Beacon Hill Legal’s client, a national insurance company, is seeking a Litigation Support Specialist for a contract-to-permanent assignment. The Litigation Support specialist will provide litigation support services within the legal department and to third-party partner law firms which include preserving, collecting, and processing legal holds. This is a hybrid role, requiring the candidate hired to commute to our client’s office in Midtown 3 times a week.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Monitors, manages and updates processes associated with company’s eDiscovery (electronic discovery) legal, compliance and business requirements.
- Works with company attorneys and outside counsel on the compliant and efficient management of potentially responsive information supporting multiple legal areas and business needs, including but not limited to litigation, employment law, and third-party subpoenas.
- Supports relationships with external eDiscovery technology and data management vendors.
- Provides subject matter expertise regarding efficient management of eDiscovery data, including proper use of protocols to limit volumes and cost associated with data collection and review.
- Develops and follows established best practices and standard operating procedures regarding information security, data protection, and privacy requirements associated with confidential data management.
- Supports development and management for other information governance processes impacted by eDiscovery services, including matter management and records management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree Preferred
- 5+ years of related experience
- Experience with standard eDiscovery technologies including RelativityOne and Encase
- Experience supporting large legal matters and large volumes of data
