Are you a detail-oriented professional with purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience looking to take on a Purchasing Agent role with a great team? This position offers the opportunity to join a well-established company where you’ll play a key role in supporting daily purchasing operations and vendor coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, process, and track purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Communicate with vendors regarding order details, pricing, availability, lead times, and shipping logistics
- Coordinate with internal departments to confirm purchasing needs and ensure timely fulfillment
- Monitor open purchase orders and proactively follow up on delayed shipments or backorders
- Resolve discrepancies related to invoices, pricing, deliveries, and order accuracy
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain coordination, or related roles
(Candidates with titles such as Purchasing Agent, Buyer, Procurement Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, or potentially AP experience may be a fit.) - Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and follow-up abilities
- Comfortable working fully onsite in a collaborative office environment
Preferred Qualifications
- AA or BA/BS in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
- Experience working in purchasing or ERP systems (client uses proprietary software; prior system-specific experience not required)
