Our client, a higher education institution, is seeking a contracted Office Administrative Assistant to support one of their busy departments! This role is key in maintaining a welcoming office environment, assisting visitors, and providing reliable administrative support to program leadership.
About You:
- 2+ years of administrative or clerical experience in a professional setting
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Comfortable interacting with students, staff, and external guests
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
The Job:
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors to the Workforce Development suite
- Respond to phone calls and email inquiries with accurate information or route appropriately
- Provide direct administrative support to the Assistant Vice President
- Prepare and organize materials for workshops and events
- Scan, copy, file, and maintain accurate records and student documentation
- Support office tasks such as maintaining supplies, organizing shared files, and managing routine communications
- Create and proofread standard forms, memos, and other documents
