Electronics Technician III | San Diego, CA

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician III for an onsite opportunity supporting surface ship electronic systems in San Diego.

Location: San Diego, CA | Onsite
Schedule: 9/80 with flexible hours
Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire
Clearance: Must have an Interim Secret clearance or higher

Required Experience

• Surface ship experience
• Hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation, and deinstallation of shipboard electronic systems and equipment
• Experience working with antennas, cables, cableways, waveguides, and ducts
• Experience using logic analyzers, digital oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electronic test equipment
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex electronic systems and equipment
• Isolate system malfunctions and perform circuit and signal-flow analysis
• Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul work on shipboard electronics
• Incorporate engineering changes and modifications
• Use advanced test equipment including high-frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, oscilloscopes, and related equipment
• Provide technical guidance to junior technicians as needed

Preferred Experience

Experience performing overhauls or repairs on:

• High Frequency (HF) systems
• High Frequency Radio Group (HFRG)
• Naval Shipboard Antenna Systems

Knowledge of any of the following is a plus: URN-25, WSC-3, USQ-122, SSR-1, URT-23, DAMA, WRL-8, or STC-2.
