Focus
- Producing 2D and 3D drawings for natural gas facilities and plats
- Heavy focus on design, not project management
- Converting field measurements (provided by field employees) into construction drawings and permit drawings for agency submission
- Supporting project close‑out with required 3D deliverables
Core Responsibilities
- Create 2D and 3D CAD drawings for natural gas infrastructure
- Develop permit drawings for agencies to obtain project approvals
- Produce isometric designs
- Use Civil 3D for design work
- Build and manage CAD blocks
- Interpret survey information and place design elements accurately on maps
- Support high‑volume design workload
Required Skills
- Strong experience with AutoCAD
- Ability to produce both 2D and 3D drawings
- Understanding of survey data and how to apply it to design
- Experience with Civil 3D
- Experience with isometric design
- Ability to build and manage blocks
- PLANT3D experience a must
Preferred / Standout Skills
- Knowledge of SoCal Gas design standards
- Background in manufacturing design (acceptable and relevant)
Experience & Education
- 8+ years of experience preferred (flexible)
- Must have AutoCAD experience
