Staffing Consultant – Government Services
SUMMARY
Responsible for candidate recruitment within Beacon Hill Technologies contract services divisions, with a focused emphasis on Government Services and mission-critical, compliance-driven programs. Source, screen, interview, and place candidates on-assignment supporting government, defense, and federal contracting environments
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with Account Executives, hiring managers, program leaders, and business stakeholders to support full-cycle recruiting across government and defense programs, including intake meetings, recruiting strategy, screening, interview coordination, offer support, and onboarding transition.
- Manage full life cycle of recruiting and hiring processes, supporting classified and mission-critical requisitions as needed and maintaining confidentiality throughout.
- Recruit and place highly specialized engineers across multiple disciplines, including (but not limited to) Software, Systems, RF, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering profiles supporting DoD, IC, federally funded R&D, and defense contractor environments (based on client need).
- Identify and engage candidates with active or prior security clearances (Secret, TS, TS/SCI) and/or clearance eligibility, while maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to client and program requirements.
- Develop creative sourcing strategies using LinkedIn, cleared/technical job boards, referrals, networking, and direct outreach to engage passive, highly specialized technical talent.
- Educate candidates on program mission (as appropriate), compliance expectations, process requirements, and long-term career growth within government services environments.
- Research and stay abreast of market trends and labor conditions impacting technical and cleared hiring, including competitive landscape for specialized engineering talent and evolving requirements tied to government contracting environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively, and ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of technical recruiting experience within government services, defense, aerospace, national security, or federal contracting environments is REQUIRED.
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience recruiting candidates with active or prior U.S. security clearances (Secret, TS, TS/SCI) is REQUIRED.
- Proven experience recruiting highly specialized technical talent, including engineering disciplines such as software, systems, RF, mechanical, and electrical engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Security clearance processes and clearance eligibility
- Compliance-driven hiring environments (including ITAR and export controls where applicable)
- Government program structures and contracting models
- Ability to source, engage, and manage passive, highly competitive cleared technical talent in a confidential and process-driven environment.
- Ability to work independently and without supervision, while collaborating effectively with Account Executives, hiring managers, and program stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct work experience.
