Role Summary
- Title: Litigation Associate Attorney
- Location: Berkeley, CA
- Practice Area: Class Action / Complex Litigation (plaintiff-side)
- Compensation: Temp – $55-$87/hr DOE / Perm – $115,000 – $180,000 annually DOE
- Schedule: In-office
- Benefits if converted: Medical, dental, vision, HSA, 401K, LTD/STD, and more
Core Responsibilities
- Investigate and vet potential new cases
- Review, summarize, and analyze evidence and documents
- Conduct legal research on facts and regulations for new cases
- Handle all phases of civil discovery (drafting, meet-and-confers, depositions)
- Draft briefs, memoranda, and other legal filings
- Prepare for hearings, trials, and depositions
- Work with and prepare expert witnesses
Qualifications
- Strong academic and employment credentials (federal clerkship experience a plus)
- 2+ years of litigation experience (plaintiff-side or complex litigation preferred)
- Excellent drafting, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Able to manage high-volume, fast-paced litigation work
- Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in CA
