Beacon Hill’s client, a large and highly regarded law firm, is seeking an experienced Trademark Attorney for a remote contract opportunity supporting its Intellectual Property practice.
This role is ideal for an attorney with strong, direct trademark experience who can assist with trademark prosecution, clearance searches and opinions, portfolio management, TTAB matters, UDRP matters, copyright matters, and client counseling.

- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 6-month contract with strong potential for extension and possible conversion to a direct hire role based on performance and business needs
- Hours: Approximately 30-40 hours/week, though not guaranteed
- Concurrent Employment: Engaging in concurrent employment is not permitted during this assignment
- Interview Process: Will likely include meetings with firm partners
- Pay: $90-$100/hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Represent applicants and registrants in USPTO trademark, TTAB, and U.S. Copyright Office matters
- Conduct high-volume trademark clearance searches and draft related opinions
- Handle trademark prosecution matters before the USPTO
- Respond to office actions
- Manage domestic and international trademark portfolios
- Support TTAB, UDRP, copyright, and related brand protection matters
- Provide clear, practical guidance to clients in support of their business objectives
- Work closely with partners and clients, with a strong emphasis on responsiveness and professional maturity
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of direct trademark experience
- Strong experience with trademark prosecution, clearance searches/opinions, and portfolio management
- Experience with USPTO trademark matters, TTAB proceedings, and U.S. Copyright Office matters
- Experience responding to office actions
- UDRP experience strongly preferred
- Prior law firm experience preferred
- Strong client counseling skills
- Professional, responsive, and able to work closely with partners and clients
- Stable work history strongly preferred; candidates with shorter tenures should be prepared to provide clear and consistent reasoning for transitions
