Beacon Hill’s client, a global law firm, is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Finance Attorney to support the Asset & Corporate Finance practice group. The practice group represents lenders, borrowers, servicers, special servicers, and other market participants in a broad range of complex commercial real estate financing and structured finance transactions, including origination, securitization, and servicing matters.
- Location: Remote (Candidates must be actively licensed and reside in the same state, and that state must be one in which the firm has an office)
- Eligible states: California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington State, and Washington, D.C.

Estimated Duration: Approximately 6 months, with potential for extension or conversion to a direct-hire position
- Concurrent employment: Not permitted
- Hours: 40 hours per week

Pay: $80-$93/hour, depending on experience
Qualifications:

Active U.S. bar license in good standing in your state of residence (must be an eligible office state listed above)

5+ years of relevant experience preferred

Experience with real estate law and real estate finance strongly preferred

Experience with leveraged lending, securitizations, servicing and special servicing, and/or portfolio and balance sheet lending

Experience with Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs), and/or agency securitizations preferred

Experience handling commercial real estate loan servicing matters, including performing and non-performing loans, preferred

Strong ability to work independently, take ownership of assignments, and operate with minimal supervision

Professional maturity, sound judgment, and strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities

Support the firm’s Asset & Corporate Finance practice on commercial real estate finance and structured finance matters

Handle Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) loan servicing matters involving performing and non-performing loans

Assist with loan modifications, assumptions, equity transfers, consent requests, demand letters, and pre-default matters

Support matters involving leveraged lending, securitizations, servicing and special servicing, and portfolio and balance sheet lending

Work on securitization matters, including Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs), and agency transactions

Assist with complex financing transactions involving lenders, borrowers, servicers, special servicers, and other market participants

Support origination, securitization, and servicing matters

Work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team advising clients across a global platform
