Corporate Paralegal
Location: Irvine, CA
Schedule: Hybrid, onsite Monday through Thursday, remote Friday
Pay: $45-$52/hour, depending on experience
Employment Type: Contract, with potential for extension or conversion
Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to support the Director of Legal within a fast-paced in-house legal department for a growing technology company in Irvine, CA.
This is a broad, hands-on role supporting contracts, corporate governance, intellectual property, legal operations, entity management, litigation support, and other day-to-day needs of the legal department. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and taking ownership of projects from start to finish. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage contract workflows, including contract intake, tracking, signatures, and DocuSign processes
- Maintain and support the company’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system
- Assist with CLM implementation, process improvements, and database organization
- Review routine commercial agreements, including NDAs, and support broader contract administration
- Manage trademark and patent portfolio matters, including tracking prosecution and renewal deadlines and coordinating with outside IP counsel
- Support entity management and corporate governance matters, including annual filings, certificates of good standing, and preparation of routine corporate resolutions
- Maintain business licenses and registrations across applicable jurisdictions
- Provide due diligence, database, and document support for corporate transactions
- Manage subpoena intake and processing and assist with litigation hold notices
- Support litigation matters and coordinate with outside counsel as needed
- Assist with insurance applications and information gathering for policy renewals
- Process and track invoices from outside counsel and other legal vendors
- Maintain organized electronic legal files, records, and databases
- Generate reports using legal department systems and technology
- Assist with lease administration and facilities-related legal matters
- Prepare documents, presentations, and other materials for attorneys and legal staff
- Partner with internal stakeholders, executive leadership, outside counsel, and vendors
- Provide additional legal operations and administrative support as needed
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of paralegal, corporate legal, contracts, or legal operations experience
- Prior experience working within an in-house legal department strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required; legal studies or a related field preferred
- Paralegal certificate is a plus
- Hands-on experience with contracts and contract administration
- Experience with CLM platforms strongly preferred
- Exposure to corporate governance, entity management, intellectual property, litigation support, or similar corporate legal matters preferred
- Ability to independently manage projects and competing deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working within a small legal department and assisting across a variety of legal and administrative matters
- Experience with Conga, CSC, DocuSign, Salesforce, or similar legal technology is a plus
- Interest in using technology and AI tools to improve legal department efficiency is a plus
Schedule:
This is a 40-hour-per-week hybrid position based in Irvine, CA. The role requires onsite work Monday through Thursday, with Friday worked remotely. The Friday schedule is generally a shorter day, typically concluding around noon.
