Senior Accountant – Consumer Products / Manufacturing
Location: San Francisco, CA | Hybrid
About the Role
A leading global consumer products company is seeking a Senior Accountant to support its North American operations. This position plays a key role in month-end close, inventory accounting, and cross-functional collaboration with the supply chain and operations teams. The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, experience in a product-based environment, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial reports

Partner with supply chain on inventory accuracy, cost analysis, and freight accruals

Support variance analysis for production and distribution costs

Assist with annual audits, internal controls, and compliance requirements

Collaborate across finance, operations, and merchandising teams to streamline reporting and improve processes
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
-
4+ years of progressive accounting experience; background in consumer products, retail, or manufacturing preferred

Knowledge of inventory and cost accounting

Strong Excel and ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar)

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
