The Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of a manufacturing organization. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing cost analysis, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and inventory accounting.
Key Responsibilities

General Ledger & Month-End Close

Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

Cost Accounting & Inventory
-
Track and analyze costs of goods sold (COGS)

Maintain and validate inventory records across production sites

Support standard cost updates and variance analysis

Accounts Payable & Receivable
-
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
-
Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding receivables

Financial Reporting

Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports

Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities

Compliance & Audit
-
Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies

Support external audits and provide documentation as needed

Qualifications
-
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Excel
-
Experience with inventory management and production cost analysis (highly preferred)

Familiarity with freight, import/export documentation, and supply chain finance (high preferred)
