A rapidly growing company is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join its accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to gain broad exposure to operational and technical accounting in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
Own key areas of the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and support preparation of internal financial reports.
Assist with fixed asset tracking, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure reporting.
Support cost accounting initiatives, including inventory reconciliations and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
Prepare supporting documentation for audits and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
Contribute to process improvements, internal control enhancements, and accounting policy updates.
Participate in ad hoc projects related to system improvements, reporting, and analysis.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3-5 years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing or product-based environment preferred.
CPA designation or active pursuit strongly preferred.
Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to learning and process optimization.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments.
