A well-established private investment firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing team. This role reports to accounting leadership and will be responsible for managing accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting a portfolio of entities.
Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Perform cash management and bank reconciliations
- Support annual audits and tax preparation activities
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash transactions
- Prepare financial and compliance reporting
- Maintain accounting systems and ensure data accuracy
- Support special projects and ad hoc requests
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
