Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions. This role ensures accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and the integrity of financial data.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements

Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

Analyze financial data and provide variance analysis and reports to management

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis

Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies
-
Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries

Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as AP/AR, payroll, and FP&A
-
Supervise junior accountants or accounting clerks, as needed

Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and accruals
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)

3-7 years of progressive accounting experience

Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)

Proficiency in accounting software (JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)

Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)

Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
